Red face Strange and silly i'm sure...did you notice anything?

I know I still have a little while to go yet (hmm...about 7wks maybe?). I didn't get to experience a "normal" labour as I was induced with DD but I've been having all these strange feelings that I imagine going into labour to be like.

I have been having a HUGELY intense pressure in my pelvis. According to my dr, babys head is down an engaging. Does this pressure feel different to the normal pressure in the pelvis when baby is engaged? Everything is so Swollen and bugling down there too. It hurts heaps.
I've been on the toilet every 5 secs cause I feel like i'm losing fluid that I have no control over - it just keeps coming. I think it's just urine though??
I have had lots of braxton hicks since about 28 weeks but now are more frquent. They don't feel like what I imagine real contractions to be like.
I've also been having these strange tingling feelings all over me. Its like I kinda know something is happening.

Other than lose of the plug, waters breaking and contractions, did you notice any other signs you were going into labour??

everyone is different but it is common to have frequent bowel movements at the onset of labour.

If you are unsure if the fluid you are losing is urine then pop on a pad and go to maternity to be checked. At 33 weeks you need to be in hospital if you are labouring. That said, frequent urination and slight bladder incontinence is normal in late pregnancy.

Its hard to remember now but there were definate waves and peaks of pain like period pain or someone squeezing together your uterus and then it easing. They started about 20min apart and then got closer and closer so the pain built up gradually.

Pre labour sounds like what you may be going through And unfortunately it can go for AGES! I've been having braxton hicks for weeks now, they don't hurt but I get the tightness feeling all over the front of my tummy and sometimes I have to remind myself to breath they are that strong!

I've been having this for weeks, and bubs was due on 27th.

It's teasing me!!! some days i get it and then the next i don't. Little blighter shifts back up.

I'm about to go vacum the house to encourage some downward motion.

I didn't get anything with my first, just dull pain like period pain the night before.

If you are loosing fluid, and your not sure, when you put the pad on, have a wiff, amniotic fluid smells like sperm. But if your dehydrated that smell can carry through to your urine, as your body recycles the amniotic fluid.

as well as bowel movements being frequent, they should also be soft, but not the runs, it's how your body 'evacuates' before labour.

when I get my hopes up and think labour is starting, I check how often the tightenings are occuring, they need to be consistent and getting closer & closer together, and often increasing in severity, as they in crease they will probably take your breath away.

You may experience some pain in your back also.
