My waters ruptured at 35 weeks exactly.........about two hours after I left my baby shower! It wasn't a big gush, but there was plenty leaking. They continued to leak all through my labour, which was kinda annoying. I did have a broken foot and they wondered if all that limping around helped DS to engage and break the waters :dunno:. He was posterior too.
My contractions started exactly one hour later, four minutes apart from the beginning. DS born 13 hours after that :D

[QUOTE=DANNIIM;1353974]With DS my waters sprung-a-leak about an hour after us DTD, i remember being down the street on a Saturday morning and thinking is this left overs or am i wetting myself.
I'm sorry, but I reckon the look on your DH's face if it happened while DTD would've been priceless![QUOTE]

I'd been in bed all weekend with the flu and when I woke up, I blew my nose and felt a big pop and my waters gushed eeeeeverywhere all over my bed. I thought I was peeing myself so I tried to use my pelvic floor muscles to stop the flow and it didnt work, so I ran to the toilet (naked, as i'd had hot flushes, with my hands between my legs trying to stop the water). I realized as I was sitting that this wasn't urine because it was clear and slimey. I called for my then partner (DDs dad), and he replied "Leave me alone, I'm playing video games!" LOL! Eventually he came and I told him my waters had broken and he was uber excited.
That was at about 2am. Nothing was happening 12 hours later so I went into hospital (they wanted me to deliver within 24 hours of my waters breaking) and it wasn't until later that evening, around 5pm that my contractions started.
I'm so surprised to see that most women had their waters breaking as their first sign of labour! I always heard it was uncommon.
Oh, and we had to replace the matress :P

I don't think this labour is going to be any different to my other 3. ARM. Having 10min cx now and no sign of waters breaking. hhheeee.

Ooooooh Rose, how exciting! I hope your ctx are closer together now!

My waters were artificially broken after 49 hour of labour.2 hours after my DS was born.I went from 4cm when they broke them to 10cm within half and hour, then after 1.5 hours of pushing my DS arrived.Needless to say I was EXHAUSTED!

My waters broke and then there was nothing.
I rang the hospital and she told me to ring back in the morning if nothing had happened.
Next morning still nothing so I rang and they booked me in to be induced the next day.
They left me 36hours before doing anything. I have heard that 24 hours is the limit?
Anyway my waters broke on Thursday night and then i went into the hospital Saturday Morning at 8:30.
Mind you I was 3 centimeters dilated by that morning but obviously not enough still had to be induced lol.

William - my waters were broken late labour before pushing!
Rory - waters broke after 9 hours labour (which was on & off) and I thought I'd peed myself. Mum and DH thought it was hilarious!! Then gushed out more before and during pushing
Flynn - labour was really varied and then I started haemmorriging(sp?) so they broke my waters to bring it on but I was losing too much blood and his heart rate was dropping fast so I had an emergency c-section.
