DTD: but I think this is a random one made up by hubbies to get some before the bub is born.

There are lots of things you can do to help yourself be ready and I used all of them:
    - raspberry leaf tea tablets or tea (I credit this with my fairly quick first stage of labour: first sign of labour till fully dialated was 6 hours - not bad for a first timer)
    - evening primose oil taken both orally and at the cervix (softens things up)
    - prayer! (lots of women at my church were praying I would go into labour before the induction that was booked for 13 days overdue and I went into natural labour 12 days overdue!)
    - DTD
-clary sage oil in a bath

Of course you need to check with your health professional, because you don't want bubs to come too early and also to interfer with your medical condition.

I had a thread on this when I was overdue. I'll see if I can find it...

Okay here it is. Its on exercise you can do to bring on labour and other things.

Just so you know none would work for me and I was 13 days overdue.

Sometimes I think bubs will just come when they want to.

All the best for the labour and delivery of your bubba

TBH I would not be doing much at your gestation, to bring on labour as you are risking both yours and your baby's life. Though you can do things to help you with labour.
Evening Primrose Oil both orally and directly onto your cervix can help soften cervix for easy dilations
Rasberry Leaf tea this will not bring on labour, it just makes your uterus work better during labour, making for a faster labour.

When are you trying to bring labour on?

I tried EPO, RLT, acupuncture, curries, pineapple, walking, DTD...all from at leaast 38 weeks, some of them earlier, and I went 10 days over.
I wouldn't say they don't work, but certainly some babies will just come when they are ready
I would check with your doctor before trying any of them JIC - I don't know what your medical condition is but it might affect what you can try.
    Good luck

Clary sage massage (must be pure essenial oil in a base carrier oil like corn kernal or olive oil 4 -5 drops to 50 mls of carrier oil)

Raspberry leaf tea or tabs can be started from 35 - 36 weeks.

They both help prepare uterus for labour.

    DTD

    Accupuncture

    Evening primrose orally and vaginally

DTD (this works by the prostaglandins in seamen soften and rippen the cervix, the prostin gell given for induction is a synthetic large dose or prostiglandin so DTD lots can help)

Not just the prostaglandins but female orgasm ..... the uterus contracts during orgasm & it is thought that this can trigger contractions.
Don't know how well it really works but who's arguing?

I was drinking the Raspberry leaf tea from 32 weeks or something - cant really remember, and did a little nipple stimulation litterally one or two mins. Waters broke the next day not sure if it was related or not. After my waters had broken nothing was happening so I had accupuncture and two hours later I was having irregular contractions.
    Definately worked in my opinion.
