Question Using a spa for early pain relief

I know this might seem a bit of a silly question because ppl you water for pain relief in labour all the time.
My question was, is it fine/safe to use a outdoor portable spa for early labour pain relief?? We have one at home and we are approx. a 15 min drive to the hospital but i was wanting to stay at home as long as possible and maybe manage early labour with our spa, it is lovely and warm and the bubbles would do wonders!

i have a portable spa at home, and although it is tempting, the say not to use it when you are pg at all. As the water is not fresh, but treated, there is a higher risk of infection, as well as a bubble going where it shouldnt IYKWIM!
Also you have to be careful that you dont overheat in them.

The only way i can see that it be safe to use would be to use fresh untreated water, keep then temp low, and no bubbles- in otherwords, just like a bath but bigger.

I would so love to do what you are thinking of, but so far the research i have done, says not to. Perhaps a professional can help us out a bit more.

some day i just look at the spa and think . . .. . oneday!!!
