What present to buy - caesarean

Hi guys,

I really need some help! My best friend gave birth on Friday via c/s (emergency after 37 hours of labour) and I'm going to visit her today. I have some gorgeous presents for the baby but I want to buy my friend something as well.

What is something she would really appreciate receiving after a c-section?

Some nice bath things would be nice..

Or a comfy pair of pyjama's

I was thinking some PJ's in a bag with some hand cream etc.

Any other suggestions??

Food for her freezer? A voucher to do her supermarket shopping/her washing/clean her house?

I think her Mum has organised a cleaner for the next 3 months... so that option is out but great idea!

What was one thing you recieved as a gift for YOU (not the baby) after you gave birth that you really loved/needed/appreciated?

Some sort of longish sausage type pillow that is not too hard. After my emergency c section I found that for days afterwards things like laughing, laying on my side, holding bub etc would sometimes pull on the wound or cause pain. A friend gave me one of these types of pillows and it was a life saver. I could hold it to my tummy to provide extra support for coughing, laughing etc. Another option is (may sound silly) some big soft pads. The hossy suggested I use these to provide a bit of extra comfort to the wound (trusty old granny undies held them in place) when moving around the first few days and they were wonderful.
Or even her favorite treat, chocolate, ice cream etc.

I didn't have a c/s so this isn't specific, but I got some lovely hand cream & toiletries and TBH I was so touched that someone gave something to me that I wouldn't've cared what it was, LOL!
But that body pillow idea sounds great! BigW have them on sale atm with a spare pillow case for $30 - just bought one on Sat
If she has a fave movie or tv series you could get it for her on DVD. I watched two seasons of Grey's Anatomy while bfeeding Natty in the first few weeks

You can get "mum packs" of organic/natural tummy cream, nipple cream and foot rub and similar things. DJ's sell some as do Babies Galore. Thats waht I usually get for mums.

ETA, I just saw waht you did get her. She'll love it. I would.
