Our bubs head has always been down, well at least since the 19 week scan, I hope it stays that way... !

Ummmmm, I could well be wrong, but doesn't bub move around all the time and change positions lots until at least the 3rd tri? It's not until they don't have much room that they stay in the one spot?

If I'm wrong, I have a very strange baby who makes me feel like my insides are somersaulting when s/he does!

They can move a lot but most bubs are head down in the early 3rd trimester, and once head down they usually stay that way. One of mind stayed head down from about 18 weeks on. One turned over to breech 10 days before his due date! The midwife will check this carefully at every visit from at least 26-28 weeks on.

First babies often turn head down and stay that way earlier because the uterus is stronger and it's more resistant to them flipping back around (according to my ob anyway).
My DD was head down at her 20 week scan and was still like that at every appointment from there on. She never turned again because I could always feel her feet at the top of my belly.
DS was all over the place for my whole pregnancy and didn't turn head down until 32 weeks - he had me worried But it's common for second babies to flip around more because they have more room in the uterus.
