Ok this could be tmi, so if you don't want to know about bowel motions, or vomiting, don't read this!
I have felt really off today, and the last few nights I have had trouble sleeping (not related to DD's aversion to sleep recently!). I threw up a while ago, which I haven't done since about 10wks or earlier. I haven't felt like eating much at all today (very unusual, I'm usually really hungry lately). I have also had loose bowels for a few weeks, which I thought could be related to drinking RLT 2-3 times a day. But today I have had period like pains in my lower belly, but for a while at a time, like 15mins or more before it goes, then it will come back a while later. I had the pains a few nights back which woke me but I just put them down to not being able to get comfy in bed and tossing and turning alot.
I started crying this arvo because DD fell over, not seriously, just one of those things and I didn't get to her quickly enough before DH did. She hasn't been well so she sooked for a bit, though she wasn't hurt. And it made me bawl!! And I've been really snappy with DH for no good reason.
Because I didn't go into labour naturally, I was induced and went from 0-100 in an hour or so with DD, so I don't know what this is supposed to feel like, or if I'm just a bit sick with a virus or something. Am I in for weeks of feeling like this before labour starts properly??
Kellie, the signs you are talking of can all be pre labour signs, but then they can also just be attributed to late pregnancy.
The soft number 2's occur in late pregnancy due to the extra relaxin in your body. The pains you are describing sound like braxton hicks contractions. If you are ever worried they might be the real thing go for a shower or bath. This will usually stop them. Not wanting to eat much is pretty normal too, you have a baby that is taking up the majority of the space in your body. Just eat smaller and more frequent meals.
As for crying when Lily fell over, welcome to being a mum hun. All those damn extra hormones that surge in pregnancy will make you teary at things you never thought possible (like johnsons ad's )
Wondering if I should start to get a build up of EBM happening. And why you haven't emailed me
I wouldn't worry too much as it sounds pretty normal for the last few weeks of pregnancy.. although with having such a quick labour before I hope you have your bags packed!!
Sounds quite normal for last few weeks in pregnancy to me, especially for me this time. I have thrown up twice in the last few weeks, cant eat much, have regular period pains and cramps that I cant move and have loose bowels now and then too. Im not in labour still waiting. I was induced with Julia at 41 weeks, so going into labour for me is touch and go, it may not happen. However I am booked in for a c/section on the 28th of July so just will wait and see.
The hormones in the last 6 weeks of pregnancy have been making me so much more emotional than ever also.
