Question Will these problems complicate my labour?

So I am hoping for a totally natural birth this time around...but I have had major issues with muscles in my groin and my tummy in the past few weeks. My OB said the pain will go once baby is born.

Now i am worried as the pain in my tummy, just above and to my left of my belly button is excruciating...will it get worse when having contractions?
The pain in my groin is pretty bad most days it buckles me over and I did collapse the other day due to a nerve in my leg ...will this affect me birthing on all fours i don't want my legs to give way?

I know i will probably just have to see when it happens but did anyone experience anything like this?

I had major groin pain in the few days before having both my girls - I think its just that they were sitting on certain nerves, I think once youre in labour and bub is moving you should be ok!
Not sure about the belly pain
All the best for lil nudger's arrival hun

I had nasty groin/nerve pain too in my last pregnancy and was worried about labour. This didn't affect me in anyway as the intensity of the contractions was the only things on my mind during my labour!

All the best! I am sure you will do great x

I had nasty SPD with DS and birthed just fine kneeling over the edge of the birth pool It DID go away after the birth, but came back again a few months later and I'd been having osteo for it ever since.
With DD I got the SPD worse (started earlier and was more insistent, but at least I knew what I was dealing with by then!) and was still able to kneel over the birth pool with no worries. I've actually heard that trying to birth on your back (even in water!) is worse because it closes the pelvis up and you want it to be as open as possible (i.e. all fours). When you're on all fours (or even if you're standing and swaying in labour), keep your toes pointed out, because that opens up the pelvis, too.
Both times I trusted that what was happening during pregnancy was only going to aid the labour and birth. I reckon it must have because I had two great birthing experiences. Even with last week's one, though the groin pain didn't go away after that one (but it's fading now and I'll kick it in the arse when I'm able for yoga again!!).

Yep, I have the nasty groin/pelvic pain thing happening. Takes me a bit to get out of a chair or bed if I've been still for a bit. Had it with #2, but not as bad, but it went away after all that extra weight was gone off the nerves. Midwife said to me today that alot of people tend to get it worse with each subsequent pregnancy. The belly pain...mine with #2 turned out to be an umbilical hernia, which was hard to detect at first cause the skin is so stretched out over that area. Can't get them fixed until you've finished having kids, so I still have it with this one, and the pain is there now again - not constantly, tho, just on and off or if it's bumped. Not to say that's what yours is, of course, but always a possibility. Good luck - at least once bub's out you know you'll more than likely feel a-ok again! x

Boomba - I've had it every time and it's never caused any issues during my labours. I'd suggest you get in a bath and stay there for as long as you can. I've done all 3 of mine in the bath and it was awesome. Delivering in the water wasn't an option for me unfortunately but I made the most of the bath and got out at the last minute either when my waters broke (and were always mec stained which meant I had to get straight out) or I was getting ready to push.
