    Cameron's very quick arrival

ok better get this down before i forget....
I was due on the monday 29th June.....today was 2nd July, the day of Rick's nanna's funeral.
I had a pain throughout the night, but didnt think anything of it as it wast conraction pain or anything, i believe now it was Cam becoming fully engaged.
When i woke to get ready for the funeral, i had a contraction, i now believe people when they say you know when your in labour, cos i knew.
I was ****ting myself, not now not today. I had a couple more before we left, but didnt tell anyone. I just said to Rick, lets take my bag just incase, as we are on the other side of town today, he agreed.
As we were driving to the funeral i had a couple more contractions but still didnt say anything, we drove past the hossy and rick said, give us an hour and then you can have the baby, i felt like telling him then he might be right but i didnt. I knew how important it was for him to attend the funeral.
I had rang mum when we were at a servo getting drinks to make sure she knew where to go (was looking after Lachie for us). i told her about the pains but we both assumed it was a false labour, although i thought pretty highly i wasnt.
Anyway, at the funeral i had 2 more through the service but still told noone. On the car ride back to the parlour for tea and coffee, i got a ride with MIL, she wanted a smoke so took the long way, but it seemed everyone followed her, we had a really big laugh, couldnt stop. I had 2 in the car with her, we joked and said it was probably all the laughing that brought them on, i knew differently.
We got into the parlour and i had to sit down, withint 5min i was needing to breath them out, few comments were made, but i still admitted to nothing. 5min later MIL was like we should be timing these, i felt bad, everyones attention suddenly shone on me, not what i wanted. anther 5min had passed and i was asked should we go to hospital, i was very very tempted to say no its prob a false alarm, but glad i didnt, we made our way to car, everyone helping me out.
I was breathing out my contractions which seemed to be about 2-3min apart. SIL and i jumped in the back seat and Rick drove (flustered driving btw!) Once in the car the contractions were becoming painful pretty quickly, we finally arrived at the hossy and i had to walk in, stopping every 2-3min for a contraction, finally made it to womens assesment, scared some of the 1st time mums to be in there with my contractions, quite funny really.
Got into the assesment area, and crawled up on the bed on all fours breathing them out, soon to realise i couldnt handle the pain, asking for gas, only to be told they had none down here, had to wait to i got to birthing suite for gas.... could imagine my reaction lol
finally my midwife arrived, finally managed to get off the bed into the wheel chair after a few contractions made it to my room.
I wanted a water birth, but also wanted gas, when we got to my room, bath only 1/3 filled, i asked for the bed with the gas cos they couldnt find the portable one.
i couldnt even make it off the chair...they were really really hurting now. my waters broke and i got the urge to push, i finally made it onto the bed, but only on my side, he had poo'd inside me, midwife needed to check me, if i was only 5cms or so i would be taken up to another ward, only way to have baby in birthing suite was to be having baby now, she checked me, bubs head was there, i wasnt going anywhere.
i got on all fours and began pushing, i couldnt help myself, my body was pushing before i knew what was going on...
about 4-5 pushes later, his head was out 2 more pushes and Rick delivered our baby!! We had been at hospital less then an hour!!
12.19 my little baby was born, i was sooooo elated i did it, i got the birth i was desperate toi have besides the water part. photos show i look exhausted but inside i was high on adrenaline!! i suffered 2nd degree, but was happy!!
    i had a 3 hour labour!!
there is heaps more little bits that went on, but im doing this one handed atm....lol
