Noah's Speedy Entrance!

Finally a birth story!! Noah is 3 months old today, but better late than never

Dh flew back in from work on the 9th dec and i had a check up on the 10th where the doctor said he would definately see me the next week for another (13 days til EDD) we then went away overnight 4 hrs away, arriving home on friday afternoon. I decided then that i best get my butt in to gear and finish the nursery and pack my labour bag (last minute i know) i stayed up till 3am to finish it, well not completely finished my labour bag and on my way to bed said to dh now thats done i can relax and might have this baby in a few days! When i woke up at 10am on friday i went to the toilet and discovered a large amount of mucous plug and was like "Ohhhh exciting" then 10 minutes later "the show" so i rung the midwife and spoke to her and she said just relax and get some rest it could still be days! at 10.20am i felt a bit dampish so went to the toilet and with a huge gush my waters broke (glad it was on the toilet and not the kitchen floor like last time lol) i was not expecting it to happen 10mins later! Rang hossy again and was told to come for a check, so jumped in the shower and got dressed and i couldnt believe it but 20 mins after my waters broke imy contractions started, 7 mins apart and quite strong too! when i got to the hossy, 11am, they started getting a room ready for me and i said "No im not staying, its only just started im going to labour at home, and i want to be with my son" i was told that my doctor would say no as by 12 my contractions were 4 mins apart and lasting 40 seconds and were getting quite intense, i said and i was getting grumpy as i knew i needed to be at home to labour calmly in my own comfort zone, so i said " I dont care what the dr says it MY body, MY baby and MY labour and unless it unsafe to do so i will be doing it MY way" bit rude but i was determined, she shuffled out and repeated what i said then came back and said the dr said i could go LOL never mess with a labouring mumma! I left at 1pm and went to mums to pick up DS but decided to have a visit with mum lol if only i had of known.....By 2pm contractions were extremely intense and i was having to have full concentration to go with them, my nephew 3yrs kept running inside yelling "poppy aunty jess is having a baby out the back and its giving her a tummy ache" lol he also kept touching my belly saying are you okay!! Any way i had to go inside as i couldnt concentrate with the kids running around and had a whopper contraction as i went in and said to dad i dont think it will be long now so im staying here and getting in your shower lol so he put a chair in there and got me some iced water and i was left to myself to get my concentration back at 3pm i said mum call DH im ready to go to he hospital now contractions were 2 mins apart and excruciating when i got to the hossy 2 mins later i asked for an internal and WOW 6.5cm dilated!! Sat on a birthing ball for a few minutes then was on the bed on all fours with mum massaging me and encouraging me, awhile later, lost track of time here i said i needed to push, dr said no not yet, only at 8cm 10 mins later he said "okay mummy" you can push now, lol i think i pushed 3 times with one contraction when i felt him starting to crown, and on the next one dh, and midwife said get ready to push and i said NO stop, shut up lol shocked faces looked at me as i said, I want to just breathe him out my mum and dad said dont stress love if thats what you want you do that as i was fiery lol so with the next 2 i started panting fast then slowed to a calm breathing and then felt the burning stinging pain and nearly lost it but kept the breating going and on the next one breathed out his head and shoulders the reached down and as the doctor brought him out i pulled him up on my chest and the tears started lol I was so happy and proud and as the dr was delivering the placenta i popped Noah on the breast myself and he latched on and away he went!! I had gas during transition but that was it

only a slight tear too, no stitches required! Noah Scott Entered The World at 5.01pm On The 13th December!! And DS1 met his baby brother 45 mins after the birth!

2hrs!! WOO HOO!!

Got the nursery done just in time and oopsie half packed labour bag that never actually made it to the hossy!

Thanks for reading, was a wonderful speedy labour and i thank BB for giving me the confidence to be able to have the birth i wanted without giving in to pressure!
