Zayvier Declan Kennedy 03/06/07 kinda long sorry!!

Okay here goes Zayvier is three and a half but i will try to remember it all!!

A problem free Pregnancy up untill 32 weeks when on my 20th birthday i woke up to these really strong pains and felt alot of pressure down there like it was gunna fall out i lived by myself so i rang mum to come and get me coz i "didnt feel quite right" mum saw hoe slow and careful i was walking so suggested i go lay down. i couldnt sit still kept walking and pacing, mum and i had a huge fight over it (i think she thought i was having Braxton Hicks) When mum realised i couldnt sit still she rang the hosi to see what they thought...they said to go and get monitored for a bit..Mum still didnt think i was being for real and asked me to tell her when a contraction was starting when it was at its worse and when it started to subside and she watched the screen..After a few she finally said babe i dont think your going home tonight (this baby was not gunna be born i my bday i wanted him to have his own lol) Anyway the door opened and in walked the doc in that moment i knew i wasnt going anywhere but to a hospital bed

they did a swab to see if i was leaking fluid which i was then before i knew it i was having a course of steriods and "dont have baby drugs" to stop the contractions i had an ultrasound the next day to get a guesstimate of what bubs weighed (around 5lb 5oz) so if i was to go in labour i wouldnt have to go to Melbourne thank god!! Stayed in hosi for three days and went home and told to rest..i tried my best at that one!!

37 weeks i felt the same feeling again i was awake ALLL night with contractions but mum was in Tasi so i willed them to stop i know you cant really do that but they did!!

So after my body trying twice to go in to labour i was at my mums and her husband at the times house (38 weeks) which was connected to a fish shop which i helped out at all the time..i was having a sleep coz i was going to go to work being a Sat night (02/06/07) at 5 pm a HUGE pain woke me up and i thought YAY here we go..i went down stairs and told mum i was having pains but i will still help out i wanted to keep things as normal as possible i didnt want it to stop again i was ready for this baby to come out!!!! so i was wrapping fish and chips in between contractions they were all in my back but kinda hurt! i went home to my house at around 8.30 mum wasnt too keen on leaving me on my own but i kinda needed to be..i rang my midwife and told her that i was pretty sure i was in labour and would stay in touch.

I stayed at home by myself until around eleven pm then i got mum to come and get me..Some of my plug came out at about 11.30 the contractions were still there but were not in a set pattern very sporadic sometime 3 mins apart sometimes 5...i paced around a rocked till i woke mum up at around 1.30am and said i want to go to the hosi we lived a 20 min drive from the hosi and didnt want to take any chances we got to the hosi at around 2-2.30 am the midwife couldnt do a proper internal examination so she called the doctor..that examination happened at bout 5.30am (OMG PAIN!!!)

The doc stood up patted my knee and said "where going to break your waters and then your going to have and epidural we've got a big baby in an awkward position" i was also around 5-6cm dialated contractions still not going i a regular pattern so i also got the speedy up contraction drip..

Waters were broken at around 10-10.30 am i nearly passed out with the pain i wouldnt wish that on ANYBODY!! mum said she nearly passed out from my scream.. around 11.30-12 pm i got the epidural it took them 4 goes to actually get it in and i overdosed on the gas twice worst feeling i really thort i was going to die!! apparently thats what it feel like when your about to pass out...

Epi in and out walk the midwvies!! didnt see them again for 6 hours..yes 6 hours they walk in to do an examination and what do you kno..his head has crowned!! i cant feel anything so i couldnt tell you!!! they had a good feel around because they were intrigued because they didnt know which was the front fontinell (sp?) and which was the back thats how awkward he came out..Doc came and put his apron on amd me in my been awake for over 25 hrs state says "whats cooking good looking" haha i was also calling myself Deloris the delerious hehe Doc tried the suction cap with no avail so out come the "salad tongs" as quoted by him and litterally pulled him out mum said the doc pretty much had his foot on the bed for leverage!!

so at 6:39pm on Sunday the 3rd of June 2007 my sone Zayvier Declan Knnedy was born weighing in at 8 pound 3 ounces measuring 48cms and head circ of 32.5

i had a few problems tore a hell of a lot 30 something stiches still bleed doing number 2;s sorry bout the tmi infection after infection and almost needed a blood transfusion!!

i kno women have had worse labours than mine but im pretty sure Zayvier will be an only child i could start another thread on that!!
