Well some people know my story but it can be a long 1 so bear with me.

I was admitted to hospital around 23 weeks gestation with a condition called Polyhydramious (excess amniotic fluid) I remained in hospital until Flynn arrived.
I had 4 amniotic fluid reductions (sticking LONG needle in and attaching a tube and draining fluid away) and was warned before my first that there were alot of risks involved like bleeding into the uterus, going into labor, waters breaking and more. So in total I had over 15 litres of fluid removed over the 4 reductions. So the normal range of fluid for a standard pregnancy is between 4 and 24% at the biggest they could measure me (as I got bigger and bigger it was impossible to get and accurate measurement as I couldn't lay flat or my lungs would be crushed) I was at 79% fluid!!!!.
So after my last reduction at 31 weeks and 4 days I was having contractions so my mum and I started to time them when I was back in my room. When DH got in to the hospital after work my mum left and DH and I kept timing and when they were 5 mins apart and not going away they decided to take me to the birth unit. When we got there I was put on the monitor and watched closely, I was asked for a urine sample and when I did that I lost my mucus plug. They gave me a dose of pethadine for the pain (which wasn't that bad really) and did an internal and discovered I was 5 cms dialated so I was taken to theatre with DH in tow for a emergency c-section.
My hind waters broke after the spinal block was in and they were laying me down on the table.
The doctors started on getting him out and when they broke the sack they got drenched in my amniotic fluid and the force of the waters breaking turned Flynn from head down to breach (I was told the force was like water going down a plug hole) so he was delivered bum first.
He wasn't breathing so he was rushed off and intubated but was off that within about 6 hours. He was born on the 5th Nov at 1.15 am and weighed 2.294kgs. He was kept in a isolet (humidicrib) for about a day and a half then was in an open cot.
I was lucky enough for him to come home on the 15th of Dec (best xmas present in the world for me ) and he is doing amazingly well now.
He now weighs 3.61kg and is 9 weeks old today
