It is an amazing feeling when you realise that it really is about to happen the way you wanted it to. Almost surreal. I am so happy that you got to experience that! Congratulations again.

Great story, well done Heaven. It sounds like it all went so well and you coped really well throughout it! I especially loved that you were able to enjoy your DH's enjoyment in the middle of it all What a wonderful experience for you both.

Awesome birth story heaven you already know I am so happy for you that you got your vbac!! I knew you could and I knew you would all along!!

I could relate to so much of your story as my labour was just under that (9.5hrs) and I too felt like maybe I had ages to go and that maybe we were going to hospital too soon etc but contractions were happening so fast, like you, we had to go in!

I laughed when you said about how weird it is seeing a head sticking out of you ...it sure is surreal huh!?!?! I still think 2yrs on, how surreal it is haha but how beautiful at the same time.

It's amazing how wonderfully supportive our men can be too! I'm so glad your dh was so supportive etc, it can't be easy for them seeing their wives/partners in so much pain either.

    Yay!

Thank you so much everyone! I'm still on a high. Seems so surreal, can't believe I did it. And already can't wait to do it again, lol.

Everything has gone so smoothly. So far DD2 is just such an easy baby, no trouble at all and I wonder if her birth has something to do with that.

Thank you for all your comments, I loved reading them.

Congratulations Heaven - you are an inspiration to me to give it a go next time around, I have a 15 month old and hoping to fall pregnant soon and have around the same age gap as yourself. Wish me luck in all respects! What an amazing story you told. Well done!
