    Welcoming baby Emilia

DH and i thought that as it might be a while until we get to the holiday house, that we would take a weekend away with another couple and DS. It was a wonderful weekend. I got to go out to the movies while the hubbies had the kids, nad just relaxed.
Sunday morning I woke up feeling a little strange. At about lunch time I went to the loo and had some blood loss. Then I knew that things were going to happen. So after finishing tidying up the house we decided to head home. I was having tightenings the whole way home, a little uncomfy, but nothing that really bothered me. When we arrived home, a lay down to have a rest while DH unpacked and got J ready for bed. I thought that as maybe tonight would be the night, a had an early shower and settled into bed (lying on a waterproof.) I was in bed all of 5 mins, when my waters broke at 9pm. I called the hospital, who advised me to come straight in, and then called my mum, who came over to stay with J, who was already sound asleep, and settled for the night. I arrived at the hossy just on midnight, where I was checked over, No contractions at this point, just the tightenings. I was advised to get some sleep, and drigten off for a couple of hours. At approx 4am, I awoke as I had started to have contractions that I couldn't sleep through. At this stage, I was advised to have a shot of peth, so to try and get a little more sleep. After much umming and Ahhing I had the shot, and fell asleep for another 2 hours. At 6am, the pain was increasing to the point that I was feeling very uncomfortable. I decided to just get under the shower, where I spent the next 1.5 hours until my obs arrived. I jumped out, and she checked me. 8cm dialated. She said that she would got downstairs and grab herself some breakfast and come back shortly. No sooner than she left the room, I started feeling exteme pressure and the urge to push. She was quickly called back, and i was fully dialated with the top of the head visible. I was told to really push, and after about 3 or 4 pushing on contractions, Emilia was born. I had a small Episiotomy, as my obs said I was beginning to tear, but otherwise all was good.
Emilia weighed 2.9 kgs, 48 cm, and head circ of 33. Very similar to her older brother, and she was 3 weeks early!!!!
My experience with this obs was just brilliant, and I couldn't have asked for a better birth.
My little girl is just beautiful.
Thank you for reading my story.
