    20 days to go

So I have been awol ... a lot.

But I had to come back and share my joy, and hopefully the countdown of the last few days of the milestone I set for myself. 12 months feeding my baby.

It has been hard, that I wont deny. I was about ready to call it quits when she got thrush because it seemed that I was just asking her to deal with that because of what I wanted to do.

Then there is the well meaning people who seem to think that having a tin of formula in the cupboard is an open invitation for them to just do what they damn well please! Apparently the fact that it is a sealed tin (for actual emergencies) does not deter them. So we have had issues of fighting with supply again in the last few weeks that should stabilise again now as said well meaning but wrong person is not here now. Perhaps that constant fluctuation in her milk is what caused the thrush in the first place. *shrugs* Who knows.

But we are almost there. In just 20 days I will be able to say that I fed my baby for 12 months. That all those "professionals" from before were wrong. I can do it. That I had more faith in my body than others (and apparently still do, sadly) and it paid off.

I would like to say it was exclusive, but what can you do about teenagers...

But thank you everyone here for your support and wisdom. I may not even have tried if not for you.

I think next I am going to want to get through winter then reassess where to go from there. I dont want to be getting out of bed at 2am in this weather!
