J stopped feeding in August 2009 & if I squeeze I can still get some BM out. Others I know have had similar things happen.
Jazz weaned 2.5 months ago, at 2yrs 3.5mths. My breasts have shrunk back down to the tiny little A's that they originally were (um, hello? Stomach and hips, you used to be an 8, my breasts have fallen back into place, what's going on down there?!?!).
Anyway, I still have breastmilk, so Jazz discovered. She asked for 'booby' last week, and I said "well, there's nothing left Jazz..." but she insisted so I let her see for herself.
Well, seems like there IS still breastmilk in there, much to her delight. What the? It's thick and yellowy. I've had no pain, no tenderness, no engorgement or anythig like that, actually it's all pretty much settled from the moment she stopped, which wasn't surprising since she was only feeding once a day. It was a compleete shock to me that there was still milk in there.
Mum says this is completely not normal and I should go to the dr. Is it really that bad? It's not noticable or anything, but I don't want to end up with something seriously wrong.

a lady in my MG still has BM and hasn't fed her LO for six months, and only fed him for six months...
logically tho, after two years of making milk it might take the ol' boobies awhile to get the message to stop producing it... i dunno tho. if it isn't causing you discomfort or anything i can't see how it can be harmful.
on a side note, what a score of jazz!![]()
I never fed for that long and I could still get a drop or two out if I squeezed them several months after I stopped.
Thanks everyone! Here I was thinking my breasts were about to go gangreen! lol
Yeah, she thought so! Now she's asking every few hours... "Booby mummy? Bobby still there! Some left for me!"on a side note, what a score of jazz!![]()
