Antibiotics and breastfeeding

I'm currently on a course of antibiotics for pneumonia that I'm supposed to continue with for another 7 days but now also have a c/section scheduled for this Tuesday so theoretically should be continuing to take the meds after the birth. Does anyone know if ok to breastfeed while taking Amoxycillin ?????

ETA - have googled and found it to be okay but will check with doc anyway

Yes most medication are fine to take while BFing. Amoxycillin is actually the most likely thing to be given if you happen to get mastitis.
You could always call Mother Safe which is the most upto date on what drugs are safe for Pg & Bfing mothers. The number is 1800 647 648. They would be even more upto date then your dr/ob/midwife or chemist.
