Sudafed is reported to cause a long-term reduction in milk supply in Mum's feeding older babies - so it may well have done the trick. But you would make milk for a subsequent pregnancy .
I think generally once your milk dries up, it stays that way unless you fall pg again & your hormones change again. I hear of lots of women needing help to dry up their milk, but they don't need to stay on whatever medication they use forever. So hopefully this is it
Maybe I should get a cold... though I'm sure DD would feed right through & insist there is milk there somewhere.
Clover - don't use the "sudafed method" - the sudafed also acts as a stimulant for DD, and the combination of no milk and a hyper 2yo seems even less fun than some of the other options.
Good luck with your reduction when you get it done. I had one 18 years ago and the reduction in pain etc was amazing. PM me if you'd like more details :-)
