    Tinned fish? =/

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I'm looking for new things to give my little one (she's turning 1 in a few days) and I came across a fish pie (annabelkarmel.com) recipe but I was wondering if I could substitute the fish in it for tinned tuna or salmon? I'm just not sure about the mercury levels and google is useless
Anyway, if anyone could give me any info that would be awesome

Are you worried about the mercury levels in the fish or the tuna?
I believe they suggest to start introducing fish around this age anyway so i can't see any harm in her having a little bit of either (fresh or tinned tuna)

if you want to avoid the mercury use salmon rather then tuna. they grow a lot quicker then the tuna and therefore have less time to hold the mercury.

DS is a tuna and salmon fan too... I didn't know you were meant to wait til 1 tho. He's been having it since he was maybe 8 months or so in tuna mornay. Oops.
