    Breast Milk and Wet Nappies

I believe the rule with disposables is at least 6 wet nappies/day - otherwise baby could not be getting enough. What is "wet"? Some of DS' nappies are soaked - so heavy and other times it seems like he has maybe had 1 pee in 3 hours. All all of these considered "wet" for counting purposes?

As long as they are weeing fairly regularly throughout the day it is fine. You don't pee at completely regular intervals all day... nor do babies. If you are getting some completely soaked nappies then it is pretty safe to say bub is getting enough. They would let you know in other ways too... unsettled and acting hungry. Babies don't just hang around quietly when they are hungry/ thirsty.

I also remember something along the lines of disposable nappies are harder to tell how wet they actually are because of the absorbing thing in them. I might be completely wrong but I think I recall something about that from the midwives FWIW before DD started using the toilet all day I was noticing that her wettest time was from 8:30-11am but most other wet times were not like that period.
