My AF returned at 8 months, first cycle 39 days then 27 now... Waiting to find out!

I had a small bleed in June (so around 7 months), then nothing until September (10 months), a 26 day cycle, then a 39 day cycle and fell pregnant again on the third proper cycle. So yes, breastfeeding can cause things to be a bit out of whack for a while, but don't let that fool you into thinking you're safe *grin*

I'm one of these who doesn't get a cycle while bf. but my sister got hers back at 8 weeks.

I didn't get mine back til ds was 16mo. It was pretty regular though, for those 3 cycles lol.

First child got Af regular (every 26 days) since 6 weeks then got pregnant at 7mths lol. 2nd child and tandem feeding had D&C at 16 weeks for retained products and AF returned at 5mths and then again 40 something days later.

First one I got AF at 10 months, first cycle 62 days, then 31 from then on, although I got pregnant on 2nd or 3rd 31 day cycle, so who knows how regular they would have been.

I think we're going to start dropping the morning feed from tomorrow - down to one a day at bedtime. Not sure how that's going to work, but there's hardly anything left now. Tonight he was just chewing and it hurt so bad :(

i was quite irregular pre-baby, and very regular cycles post baby, like my clock got reset. AF returned at 4 months pp first time, 6 months pp second time.

ok...random question, thst doesnt actually affect me yet... but when you are tandem feeding, like twins, or newbie and toddler, how does letdown happen? do you get twice as many let downs? or is it the same as single?

TT, I always find I get way more letdowns tandem feeding than individually. Something I noticed when we tandemed all the time was once one girl was latched and sucking, I'd start hosing on the opposite boob which got other baby sucking like crazy. Pretty much because of the letdowns, as soon as one baby would start sucking, it would get the other moving too which is awesome for boosting supply as it means both boobs are getting constantly stimulated.

Don't know if the effect is any different tandem feeding two bubbas of different ages but that is my twin experience :)

Dd has a cold/teething.

She has gone off her solids. She starts having milk but then can't breath, gets upset and comes off. She won't feed now either and cries :(

I had to rock her to sleep because she is exhausted but won't feed to sleep.

I'm scared my poor baby is hungry :(

Oh little O it's awful when they're like that. Hugs to you and your LO.

=( your poor LO, Little_O, I hope she gets better soon!! I have no real advice rather than just keep offering her the boob regularly.

Lots of babies go off their food when sick. Especially with blocked noses. No fun! Hope it clears quickly for you.

TT my letdowns are as frequent but less forceful when tandem feeding (23 month age gap) My supply settled much faster and I have less leakage.

thanks A and Mel. im just worried with my Dmer..i have sych strong forceful letsdown with just bf one, i already experience the dmer 3-4times a feed (average 8-10feeds 24hrs), i dont want to feel it more...

If it gives you hope, I stopped feeling them altogether at about 10 months.

there is always hope it will fade away and i wint feel it anymore. but everything says if it hasnt by now chances are very slim

Dd is 8months, but I still have to wear breast pads. Is that normal?
