Dd has a cold/teething.
She has gone off her solids. She starts having milk but then can't breath, gets upset and comes off. She won't feed now either and cries :(
I had to rock her to sleep because she is exhausted but won't feed to sleep.
I'm scared my poor baby is hungry :(
Oh little O it's awful when they're like that. Hugs to you and your LO.
=( your poor LO, Little_O, I hope she gets better soon!! I have no real advice rather than just keep offering her the boob regularly.
Lots of babies go off their food when sick. Especially with blocked noses. No fun! Hope it clears quickly for you.
TT my letdowns are as frequent but less forceful when tandem feeding (23 month age gap) My supply settled much faster and I have less leakage.
thanks A and Mel. im just worried with my Dmer..i have sych strong forceful letsdown with just bf one, i already experience the dmer 3-4times a feed (average 8-10feeds 24hrs), i dont want to feel it more...
If it gives you hope, I stopped feeling them altogether at about 10 months.
there is always hope it will fade away and i wint feel it anymore. but everything says if it hasnt by now chances are very slim
Dd is 8months, but I still have to wear breast pads. Is that normal?
i dont know about 'normal' but i still have to wear them and still have to put pressure on my non feeding boob so i dont soak the pad and my top/skirt across the room
ok at least im not alone. One of my friends was saying she was done with them after 4 months!
I had to wear mine right up to about 10, 10 and a half months.
Normal for me! I was still wearing them at 12 months, it's really only a few months ago.that I put them away completely. Even now if it's been a long time (like a long work day) the other side will soak through my top when feeding.
Lol with all mine I've had to wear then the whole time I'm feeding. But my sister didn't need to after a couple of months.
I still wear mine at 10 mths during the day; mainly due to my irregular pumping schedule at the moment (I'm currently out of routine). Don't wear a bra at night but do have an old flat cloth nappy that I hold across me at night to catch any dribbles
I stopped wearing them at about 8 months with DD1: the same time as my boobs went squishy and never felt bursty bursty full.
With baby 2 I haven't needed them at all.
It's very individual. I never used them - would just have to apply counter pressure on the other breast when feeding early on. I think I leaked between feeds 2-3 times with DS. Probably I am very unusual.
=( we arent going well here...no sleep in this house at all... but Spock bit me before and cause of the sleep deprivation and it had already been an hr battle trying to get her to sleep i screamed... i terrified her =( she had the look of pure fear in her eyes abd burst into tears =( then i was crying...
didnt put her off biting tho...

Is it just Spock not sleeping that's depriving you? Is she teething again?
Big hugs TT :hug: I've been there. Last night DD was mucking around, I'd spent two hours trying to get her to sleep when she came over and bit my nipple hard. Deliberately just came over and bit me through my single. I yelled and swore. She's past being scared by that now, but when she was younger and I was in your position we both wound up in tears.
Perfect timing for DH to come take her and give you a break I think. Even if he can't get her to sleep (mine can't) he can walk her around for half an hour while get some much needed rest and do something for you for a bit :hug:
Oh TT40 that sucks big time. Hugs to you. DD has bitten me once hard enough to really hurt and it was when she was angry and fighting sleep/boob and so I was frustrated and yelped too. It's an awful feeling.
i dont know about again...its been like this for a month. we mayve get 2 nights axweek of 3hr stretches and easy to settle...last night she was awake from 2a til 5a (and then slept from 5 on my boob til 8).
he tries tovsettle her. but he is a truck driver and its bad if he doesnt get sleep. he said today he kept falling asleep at the wheel and if it diesnt get better he will have to stop work. (which he cant do cause he is our inly income atm).
i should be sleeping now but im past tired. all twitchy etc..

:hug: Be gentle on yourself T. It is a very good sign that you need a timeout and some help, for sure. Anyone sleep deprived with no way out would feel that way.
Hey again. We are still bf, with solids too. Bf has been going well until the last several days. Mack has a cough (which he has been given predmix today for by the dr), with a blocked nose, making feeding sometimes quite difficult. To top it off, I took the morning after pill the other day, and i am wondering if that has affected things negatively also. I have a fairly hard lump I can't seem to shift (been there for probably more than a month), and yesterday (i think), developed another, very painful lump, at the bottom of one bb (like, *right* at the bottom). It's a fair size (or at least feels like it). I don't know how to really get rid of it, assuming it is just a blocked duct. I guess I can only really try to 'rub it out' while I am lying down feeding because of just how low it is. Sorry if this is all a ramble, I am falling asleep. Just needed to post.
Hot wet compresses held to the area for a good while before massaging the lumps and expressing or feeding have helped me in the past. Take care netix.
