Feeding to sleep?

Do I have the only baby in the world that DOESNT fall asleep at the boob? She gets a little groggy but not enough to be able to put down..

Not complaining, just curious...

Nup. My DD fed to sleep ONCE. In our entire bf relationship of 15mths, just ONCE did she fall completely asleep at the boob.

DS does all the time. Different bubs!

I didn't get one of those either.
In fact DD was so much the opposite that her routine was sleep feed play.

DS1 did all the time (fed til 20 months) and DS2 has maybe twice so far....I love babies who feed to sleep, so easy!!

Hi,

She's got a habit of her whole lifetime. For her whole existance she's been connected to your body (inside you) could hear your heartbeat, was fed continurally, was never alone. No 2 week old will love being put in their bed, alone to sleep - they eyes which may be getting heavy will fly open as soon as her head hits the cot. She wants to be with you.
It won't always be like this. Pop her in a sling for sleeps, co-sleep (if safe ie no drugs, smoking etc) or cuddle her until she is really, really asleep. She will change.

thanks barb. As I said, i wasnt complaining. I was just observing that she didnt fall asleep at the boob... i had no intention of putting her down
