kim i have bamboo breast pads and first off after birth i would go through about 8-10pairs a day (heavy leaker)
now i go through about 6 pairs a day - but need to wear 2 on each side overnight as not to leak on my top
hth
i have almost 20 pairs and havent run out yet
oh geepers, and here am I thinking 6 might be enough lol.
i asked Maz direct Kim - she said if you wash frequently, you can get away with half dozen, but she herself had 10 sets - so that's what i grabbed
i have no idea how much i'm going to leak when milk comes in, but given i've been leaking since the 19 week mark a little bit, i dont want to take chances - i may still grab more - depends on how much i'm leaking once milk comes in - i figure i can wash and dry pretty damn quick if i need to if i'm leaking lots until i can stock up...
Kim,
I got 20 (10 pairs), I've not run out yet but I wash everyday! I was going through around 3 pairs a day on average to start with! Luckily for me I don't need to wear them anymore as I have very little leakage. I now only wear them if I go out, Hayden's 10 weeks on monday!
Like pink said you'll need a few to start off with! Better to be safe than sorry!
Hope this helps!

righto, I've ordered 10. Thanks girls!! :D
Kim i got this many as i knew from DD #1 i was a heavy leaker!
So i was prepared lol :)
Some girls are lucky not to have such an oversupply.
YEP I HAVE A DOZEN PARS, THE MINKEE MAZ USES IS JUST (oops caps!!) divine, lush on sore full - milk just came in boobies!
i dont know what i would do without em
Yeah, I managed to get away with 3 pairs, and only used then going out as JIC. I was really very lucky with leakage...
PP I don't remember leaking that much with Darcy...10 pairs should do me I think.
Kitt3n, that's why I've been waiting - cos I want those ones :D
i used disposable till my milk seetled down now i have 9 sets and that last me on avearage a week but do wash every 3 days so never run out.
I had 3 pairs of MAZ's lovely breast pads and that was enough for me, I didnt leak that much
I know these aren't nappies, but I didn't know where else to put it..
How many would I need?
I am over buying the disposable ones that only get twisted and uncomfortable, and I am sick of wet patches on my tops
just subscribing to this thread, coz i too am looking into cloth ones..
also, (sorry to steal ur thread sweet) but,
is it worth going cloth? does it makes it easier?
and they are as obsorbent?
ta :)
I've got 8 pairs of Maz's breastpads (and have just ordered another pair) that seems to be enough..although I have run out on one or two occasions when I've been behind with the washing.
And YES it's worth going cloth...I can't believe the money I've wasted in the past on disposables. And in my opinion they are much more absorbent than the disposable ones.
I have about 10-12 pair of Maz's they are more than enough, and they're soooooo soft and scrummy
I have 4 from Obsidian Star and 2 coming from Maz. Hope to get more Mazzies though cz they have a great rep :)
Maz's are fantastic! You never have too many :)
I can noramally get away with about 6 pairs but im not a huge leaker once milk has settled.
