so I don't remember it happening much with ds (or at least not as many hours)....but dd just seems to want to feed constantly from 5pm - 11ish! its so tiring. especially with a toddler. is there any way of changing the time of day for it? or could it just be her firsr growth spurt kind of thing. its nearly 8.30pm atm n all I wanna do is sleep!! she feeds then goes to sleep fine any other time of the day!!
dh isnt home most nights either to occupy her (so she doesn't smell my milk) while I get some zzzz's. so unfortunately thats not an option.
im not even sure its a hunger thing....it's just an 'i want mummy' thing, cuz she goes to sleep n stops drinking until I take her off n put her down n then shes awake again. very frustrating!
Congrats on your little girl!
It is just a thing that they tend to do when little. You can try a sling rather than feeding, if you need to be doing things with your son at the same time. Or feed in the sling and do some serious mummy multitasking.
It will pass with a bit of time. Do you take her to bed with you in the evenings? Perhaps that would meet her need for you while you get some sleep?
yeh I do have a sling but its more like laying in bed reading to him n laying down until he goes to sleep. I want that to still be 'our' time cuz he hadnt been coping well with a new person taking mummys time. ive found this week that this routine for bed has helped him n his behaviour.
yep we cosleep so she always sleeps right next to me.
