    Cows milk

I have been giving DD 1-2 bottles of cows milk per day(she has 3 bottles total)- I have noticed some constipation since I introduced cows milk 2 weeks ago.
Could it be the cows milk causing this?
Or should I look at other things?

Could be cow's milk, especially if she went from 0 - 1 or 2 bottles a day? (no idea if she did or not)

Maybe try reducing the amount of cow's milk she is having & see if it helps, if it does then you wean her onto it a bit more slowly... if it doesn't make a difference then look at something else.

Has she had any other changes to her diet?

I should clarify that she had cows milk in a sippy cup and on her cereal, so I assumed she had no reactions to it.

So she had had cow's milk before the bottles? It could still be that the increased amount is making her constipated.

I don't know, Pie has been constipated lately too, and she's having less cow's milk than usual, (she's cutting her bottles back a bit) so I put it down to the heat & not enough fluids, have been offering more water & giving her a bit of prune juice. Could be something to try?

Starting to think maybe I have done this the wrong way? I started with cows milk on her cereal, and then in a cup to drink.
Then moved on to 1 full bottle of cows milk per day for a week.
Then 2 full bottles of cows milk a day- she has 3 bottles so 1 is formula.
    Advice please......

Thats what I did, sounds right to me.
Maybe go back to 2 formula, 1 milk, or make it up 50/50?
I have heard of milk and cheese backing some people up, maybe she is one of them?
Dunno, hon, you can only try.

    I'd increase her water intake.

Dd doesn't have real cows milk to drink not that I haven't tried she just didn't like it and prefers water. I prefer her to have water too I don't use water or milk as a meal though so she also has a huge breaky, snacks, big lunch, snacks then big tea and a yoghurt for dessert.

To get her going I'd do the diluted prune juice but sound slike she could do with some water to help keep her regular. Maybe off some pears or banana too they are both meant to be good at keeping regularity.

    Good Luck
