So in the last 3 days dd is only averaging about 1 wee in 12hrs during the day and even that isn't a massive one. I don't know what to do about it. I've never had an supply issues so I'm thinking it's more to do with the way dd is drinking and not my supply. She is teething and is completely miserable and is so cranky right now. Im feeding her whenever she wants, which is often but it's not for very long.
She has one bottle at night (has since she was 2 months old) and she's gulping it down and then crying when it finishes. During the night she is cluster feeding every half an hour until about 1am and then has a break for about 4hrs and then is back up cluster feeding again.
Her night nappy is better, it's quite wet in the morning, I think because of the bottle and all of the cluster feeding.
I've noticed my boobs have gone back to my pre-pregnancy size as my bras don't fit anymore and it is taking dd a long time to get a let down (about 1 min). I don't know how my supply could just disappear suddenly (I didn't think that was possible) so I'm thinking it is all down to dd and the way she is sucking because her teeth are hurting her.
I don't know what to do about it though... I'm worried she's going to get really dehydrated if I don't get her fluid intake up. Help!
I have been giving her panadol every now and then the last few days, doesn't seem to be making much difference. Haven't tried expressing, I'm not much good at lol. Maybe I will hunt out the breast pump tomorrow.
Hmmm.No, i dont' think it's your suppy. It does'nt just dry up - except if you have certain medical conditions or taking certain medication.
Sounds like she's reversed her feeding. Is the urine very concentrated? Any other sign of dehydration? Imagine if she drank during the day like she does during the night now, then slept all night. Her weeing would probably be similar, only the other way round (if that makes sense).

You are right - your milk doesn't just dry up. It sounds like she is unwell and miserable at the moment. What are pooey nappies like? At this age she will be eating food and drinking water as well, how is that all going? Is she off her food a bit? It's pretty normal for your books to be just solf and normal all the time. No chance you can be pregnant? Have you got your period yet? (No, your period doesn't dry up your milk supply, either, but can make your baby a bit fussy. Pregnancy is one of the very few things that will impact on your milk supply. Keep doing what you are doing - give her a few days and generally it all sorts out and you get a better idea of the pattern
I try offering her water but she has a couple of sips and then just wants to chew on the spout. I don't think she has figured out how to use the sippy cup yet. She's on solids, 2 meals a day of BLS so she isn't getting huge amounts so I know that food isn't getting in the way of her drinking. Last night she refused to eat completely.
MadB - she's feeding as much during the day nearly as she is at night, the only difference is I think her night feeds are longer and I notice it more because I am so flipping tired.
Her urine is probably more concentrated than usual. It's quite yellow but it's not super dark.
Barb - I suppose pregnancy is always possible but I think it's highly unlikely. I haven't had my period back yet and whilst I know I could ovulate before I get it back in the past even though I only fed for 3ish months my period took about 4 months to come back after I completely stopped. So I would say it's unlikely. Besides by know I am generally throwing my guts up if I am pregnant.
This morning dd wasn't even managing to get a letdown she's so miserable. I think I need to take her to a doctor because she won't even stop crying long enough for me to have a shower.
Ok so now I am really, really engorged and am wondering if that means her constant drinking has brought a crap load of milk in or if her still relatively low wet nappy count ( not as bad as it was but not where it should be either) means she's not draining effectively causing the engorgement. How can I tell.
Anyway she's choking constantly through every feed which is annoying her and in turn frustrating me. She's torn my nipples apart in the last couple of days and they are all cracked and bleeding.
