Wow i can completely relate to the lady with the twins & the struggle with weaning them. My boys were 2 years apart but tandem feeding them was like feeding twins. I always had one of them or both on me, the toll it took on my health and relationship....

I admire the lady BF her 8 year old, but think they should show what other interests her girls have in life, as they come across as only interested in BF, though i'm sure they like other things. Just can see how they'd be viewed negatively for being so attached.

Wow, i really enjoyed watching this last night. I was suprised by the negative attitudes of the british in relation to feeding in public. I dont think there was one member of the general public who had anything positive to say very sad imo.

It broke my heart to see the little boy (oneof the twins) so up set and wanting his milk but i also like how the parents handled the weaning and was pleased to see the mum in their room all night giving them cuddles and soothing them.

Wow, you felt sorry for the twins lol? Haha I was just lol'ing at their tantrums, they looked *just* like my DD1 when I refuse her another lolly Good on mum for sticking to her guns, it's great that she sat up all night to cuddle them when they cried but yeah lol, I was just kind of like 'Oh get over it buddy, you'll be right by morning if mum holds out on you'
But then I'm a meanie-bum mum who sends DD1 to her room mid-tanty because I have no patience for pointless yelling and crocodile tears lol

I just couldnt bear to look at his little sad eyes. I did feel sorry for the mum too as i too can see myself in that situation one day but i'm a bit meaner than her also and probably would have sent my dh in for a bit so i could sleep

i thought it was amazing. I wonder if that lady ever got to breastfeed her adopted child? The twins, well i cried.. my heart broke into peices for them. I can see why she caved last time she tried to night wean them.

how beautiful was the little adopted orphan girl? she was so pretty and had an amazing little face.

i thought the young mum who went into the hospital to help new mums bf was fantastic. she was working so hard to normalise bfing.

i cried for the little twins too, i'm soooo not looking forward to weaning ds2!

The young BFing mum who started Little Angels was great It's awesome to see some of the younger generation (who are notorious for being the most prudish about BFing as we've been raised to see bottles everywhere and place more trust in science than nature) getting out there and making it just another part of motherhood Kudos to her, and obviously to all the other mamas who do their bit to normalise BFing!

It was such a fascinating doco. Made me sad to be British (but glad I am in Australia) when I heard peoples attitudes - it was quite shocking, I wonder if it's truly reflective of the population. My friend over there bf to 12 months and said she got a lot of comments about it being too old, so maybe it is worse there.

I would loved to have seen it , I am still Bfing my twins who will be 4 in July. Only twice a day but soon I'd like to wean them ....how old were here twins ?

I think society puts too much pressure on women to wean their children early because they find it unacceptable to see breastfeeding toddlers & preschoolers.

^ These twins were 2 and a half, I think They were so cute on the boob! I wish I'd been able to BF for longer but circumstances dictated my journey came to an end not long after 5 months The women featured in this doco were so inspirational, their stories were amazing I know there are plenty of BB ladies who are doing great jobs with extended BFing too, they should make an Aussie version, feature you gals, and then show it in schools with sex ed/life skills classes so the next generation learns to see it as a normal, natural and wonderful thing!
