Is this a good sign for b/f next baby?

I'm 25 weeks pg, and I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that if I squeeze my breasts, I get a couple of drops of what I suppose is colostrum. Just a tiny bit, but definitely there. Never had anything like this during my first pg.

I'm curious about this, because with DS I had terrible supply problems from the start and was never able to build up a full supply even with constant b/f, expressing and loads of motilium. I tried absolutely everything and still ended up having to do formula top ups from 12 weeks.

I'm really, really hoping that this time it might work out, and that perhaps the fact that my breasts are already doing something means I might produce enough milk when this baby is born.

Does anyone know if this means anything? Does my body know how to do it better this time because it's made milk before?

Just interested to see if anyone has any info.

i can't answer your question for sure but i think it may be, as you say, your body knows what to do and things happen faster in the successive pregnancies. i'm 28 week pregnant and have noticed the same.... i don't think i really checked first time around until in the late 30s.... but this time, things are cranking up much earlier. i feel like my BB are heavier already.

Last time around I think around the same time, I had similar - a few drops here and there, never noticed it later on. We went on to successfully feed for almost 3 years.

This time, nothing, nada. lol Can't say it has crossed my mind to be concerned about it meaning I will have issues this time, just think sometimes you get it, or notice it, sometimes not.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you you get the BF success you are after when the time comes!

I'm hoping it means things will happen faster, with my first pregnancy with DD I had nothing happen and it took 5 days before my milk came in and then was all gone after 3 weeks.

This time around though I have been noticing dried colostrum already and the veins on my BB's are much more prominent this time around as well and lets not mention how big my nipples have gotten :0.. So FX it means I'll have better supply this time around... I keep joking to DH that boys just love boobies so it seems my boy's are making it known that they want to be booby boys

I think you're probably right, Lime - there are lots of little things that are different about this pg - I have no linea nigra this time, had it at 15 weeks last time. Lots of little things, guess each pg is just different.
