    Dream Feeding

    Hey Ladies,
I just have a quick Q about dream feeding and whether any has, or if it's possible to be done if you're breastfeeding?

DS is a pretty good sleeper, usually during the night he'll do 5 hour stints which is fantastic for a NB, I know... BUT, it can take me anywhere between 1.5 to 3 hours to get him back to sleep again. Not because he's unsettled but because he's all inquisitive and wants to look around & coo at everything and it's cute... but not that cute at 2 in the morning XD
So, I was wondering whether it was possible, or worth while, dream feeding to avoid the whole awake and putting back to sleep stage... has anyone done it? How did you do it? Was it successful or not really?

    Thanks girlies! xxx

I still give my DS a dream feed every night at about 10pm before I go to bed. Mind you I did find it a bit tricky when he was a newborn because we had to unwrap and burb etc so it was hard, but at least he stayed sleepy. Now when I get him out of bed I have to have my boob out ready for him because the minute I pick him up he throws himself side ways and latches on without waking up LOL.

I'd say give it a go and see how it goes. You may find your LO wakes up, but it will probably be easier to settle him back to sleep than it is if he wakes himself. GL
