Hey yea absolutely you could start giving him the same foods as you, makes it so much easier! Especially now he can have the dairy in food.

Sandwichs definitely and yoghurt, another great travel food is avocado. Just take the whole one with the kinife and sandwich bag, you just mash it a little with the spoon in the actual skin and if only one half gets eaten you can put the rest back in the sandwich bag for next time.

Just one thing to remember with hamburgers is babies under 12months can't have egg white so if I make rissoles I just make up the batch and then seperate his to add the egg and just use egg yolk in his. They are great to put carrot, zucchini and other vegies you like too. I do this with ds1 to hide zucchini, he doesn't usually eat green vegies unless they are mixed through stuff.

You could also do things like shepherds pie, risottos, spaghetti bolognaise (you could just break up spaghetti small or use the packets of baby pasta in the baby section or use a smaller type of pasta like shells.

I think it was around this age with ds1 that I would give him exactly what we were having and just cut things up really small. He would have a roast for example just small pieces we didn't do bls so we would still feed him with a fork. At your ds's age he will mostlikely be able to handle more than puree, it is also really good and important for his speech development as it gets his jaw working.

Have a wonderful holiday!!
