Unhappy Honey & Oat Cheerios - 11 month old

I've really stuffed up! DS has had about 10 of these. Now I am panicing about the small but very real chance of Botulism as I have learned even the smallest amount of honey can spread the spores. Should I be worried? Is there anything preventative I can do?

    Please ease my mind

    Thanks

I'm sure he'll be fine hun, the amount of honey they would have on them would be fairly minimal anyway. The cereal is probably baked or something too so I think that would kill the bacteria. I think they recommend honey after 12 months, so he's fairly close to that anyway. Like the risk of listeria during pregnancy, the risk of botulism from honey is fairly low (but it is still there ITMS).

First up, this completely did my head in, as there was an ad on TV for these as I read the thread title. Mind trip!

Secondly, they are probably processed enough, and I'm sure he is old enough and strong enough to manage it. I think it will be OK.
