Hey all, I'm 28+4wks pg with number 2, DD is still BF first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. I'm wondering if there's any link between BH ctxs, or even normal ctxs, and BF an older child?
Hadn't noticed anything with regards to the belly up until yesterday when all of a sudden DD decided she wanted two extra feeds in the afternoon. I noticed though on our 4th feed yesterday some "tightenings" down low, that actually had a bit of bite to them. Having just had my 28wk check up, I had mentioned to the MW that I'm getting back pain, some BHs down low on the belly that had been painless and had a strange feeling of pressure, also down low, that came and went one time that I could remember.
She said back pain is ok, normal, but the BHs "down low" and pressure worried her a bit. Bubs has turned and is already vertex ("clever baby" the MW said) so I attributed the pressure to that, but now I am wondering if DD wanting extra BFs is affecting anything.
Reason I'm wondering this is the thing about breastfeeding helping your uterus to contract post-birth.
BF can't bring about ctxs before birth of second bubs, can it???
