How long are you going out for and how many feeds will he have in that time?
I'd guess (based on what Mr P did) about 100ml per feed...
Enjoy your time out!
DS is 8 weeks old how much frozen EBM should I defrost for a feed?
TIA

well if Will is anything to go by he has 160ml ebm! but not sure how many feeds a day as he just gets on when he wants![]()
Have fun going out. x
Something like 900ml/day divided by number of feeds.
Or 150ml, but he may not want it all.
I always erred on the side of caution and defrosted more than I would need just incase he got a bit peckish and wanted another feed before I got home so I would get out about 200mls. 150ml for his feed and then 50ml back up. I would rather have some wastage than not enough, IYKWIM.
Have a great time out.
Store it in 50ml lots. I left 300ml for Ambah when I went out for a few hours when she was around that age, thinking that was going to be plenty. But no, she gulped it all in one go!
On average, babies between 1 month and 6 months will drink 750ml per 24 hours. Then you divide that by the number of feeds in 24 hours. Babies that age generally have 8 - 12 feeds in 24 hours, so on average you could say 10 feeds at 75mls per feed.
I also freeze it in 50-60 ml lots
I left out about 150 - 180 ml for him and he didn't drink it all. Although I was only gone for 2 hrs and I fed him before we left. Apparently he screamed the whole time for DP... he always screams for DP!!
Anyway, thank you all
xx
Nope couldn't relax... DP rang after about an hour and asked how long I was going ot be and that make me all tense. I had a bit of a growl when I got home!!
