    I'm so hungry!!!

This past week I am finding myself constantly hungry! I just ate an hour ago and already my stomach is growling! Is it normal to be this hungry when breastfeeding? Is there any healthy snack ideas (Im not into carrot sticks etc) that will keep me fuller for longer? Im thinking about getting some high fibre musli (For the life of me I cant remember how to spell that atm!!)bars? Not going to do so well getting this baby weight off if I keep eating! Ive currently resorted to eating chocolate every day because its quick, easy and just... there (and its yum ) but its bad for me.. bad bad bad. Cant be good for DD either.

I remember been like that. I was the same wanting to eat all the bad foods. I actually started eating the Carmans Muesli bars really yummy. I enjoyed it though because really no matter what I ate my weight stayed the same. Now that we are down to 3 feeds a day I notice that I have to start watching what I am eating more.

Oh I hear you. I have been soooo hungry while BF DD. Banana's are good and starting to come down in price. Nuts are good too. A small handful with a piece of fruit should fill you up for a little while. ATM I've been having 2 morning teas & 2 afternoon teas. I have been trying to eat healthy snacks (and failing regularly ) so I at least don't put on weight and the so far the weight has been dropping off slowly. I've lost about 3kg in the last 4 months. If you can exercise too, that might help. I know that's easier said than done with 2 little ones, but even little bits will help. I try not to buy chocolate or biscuits to avoid the temptation because I know if it's there I'll eat it.

I could have written what you wrote word for word! I just ate a mini mars bar- lol. I'm walking to and fro
Work but I use that to justify my appetite which isn't a good thing. I'm craving carbs too.....not so good for my tummy

I used to stock up on muesli bars, nudie fruit juices etc, pre-made fruit salads, cheese and bickies - anything with a little nutritional value. And yes, the hunger is completely normal.

I ate a normal diet + chocky bars and still lost weight - for some people that is what happens.
anything that you can eat with one hand - fruit, cheese, cold tortellini (I know I have strange tastes), porridge, yoghurt. Even make an extra dinner and munch it during the day!

I ear more when I'm breastfeeding than when I'm pregnant!!! I ate 3 blocks of extremely expensive vegan chocolate this week!!! SO BAD!!! I've been having vegan banana smoothies which seem to take away the cravings and fill me up.

yep, always hungry here too. I eat way too many gluten free biscuits but my options are limited due to being celiac, vegetarian and now with my son having a milk protein allergy. I've never been really big into fruit. I weigh less now that I did before I was pregnant.
