    Lactation Consultant recommendations in Perth

Does anyone have any recommendations for lactation consultants in Perth?

Ive got blocked ducts which are so painful but the reason we think is that DD has a weak suck. I also suffer from vasospasm which im not entirely sure isnt frompoor attachment even though everyone here (i am in country WA) says it looks perfect. Im offto perth in a week or so and want to see an LC while im there. These blockages will keep happening unless we get DD to suck harder i think.

Before i jmpin and book one thought i wouldsee if any BBers have had good experiences with any.

    Thanks in advance....

Dantri when DD was born a woman visited me at home, it was organised through SJOG but it was an independent crew called health choices. The woman who came was the perfect mix of practical and warm/supportive.

It was Helen but I can't recall her last name.

I went through SJOG at Subiaco too - saw Veronica mainly.

MadB gave me a recommendation for a woman in Fremantle for the dietary side of things but she is also a LC so could be another option for you - her name is Joy Anderson.

Sorry to hear you're having problems. I've got Raynaud's, which is I think basically the same as vasoplasm, and its awful. Throw in a bub with dodgy attachment and really not nice.

Hi dantri I realise this was ages ago but did you end up finding someone good? Im having similar issues and looking for a good lactation consultant...

    Cheers!

    Lactation Consultant recommendations in Perth

Hi I have been very neglectful of BB these past few mths and only just noticed your post.

I saw Sharon Perella. And she was wonderful. Also Dr Marnie Rowan is a GP with a passion for breastfeeding a Glen Forest Clinic. I got in with her through Sharon. Pleased to say that we are still breastfeeding at almost 9 months.

Feel free to PM me and I can give you all the info I have on how to build your supply back up.

Hope you're doing okay as I realise you posted over a month a go! Xx

Marnie is amazing, isn't she! I travelled from our north western suburb several times to see her with DD2 and our feeding issues and it was well worth it. We exclusively BF until 12 months despite a very trying start including 5 weeks of exclusively pumping.

My LC, who I used with DD1, also put me onto Marnie. Kate works at SJOG Subi and King Eddies. I'm not sure if she does home visits for new clients though now.
