Question Bottle teat sizes? a little confused...

a little while ago i got my (she was 4mo at the time) DD a teat that was 3+ months (one of the avent ones) when i gave her a bottle she was gulping and carrying on so i changes it back to the 2+ months teat and i have just read that if the teat is too slow then your baby might not get enough food, coz it will give up after awhile.
My DD is over 5mo now, should i try her on the 3+ teat? and is it normal to gulp and carry on (it almost sounds like she's choking) is it normal for her to be so old and not use a faster flowing teat?
    argh.. all so confusing lol
    TIA ladies xx

Your bub was partly BF for quote a while?? So she will have a reasonably strong suck and won't be held back by slower flow teats.
If she's choking then that's not good - that won't make her feel inclined to drink more either! Stick to the teat that she's comfortable with and judge whether she is getting enough by her weeing and pooing and growing!

I've never changed teats based on age - just what they are doing. If they get fussy and cranky at the teat whilst feeding I know its time to go up to a faster flow, but I've never had them refuse a bottle completely because of it?

Same as if they are choking and gulping - its too fast for them.. Let her be your guide instead of what the boxes say
