Question One side hurts to feed on?

DD's 10 months now.. and the last 2 days theirs a little lump almost like a pimple but not, on my left nipple and it hurts to brestfeed on.. could it be just that or ..something else...feels like in the early days when i started breastfeeding that stinging throbbing feeling it kills .. i just thought it was weird that its happening now ive never had any problems since then.. has anyone else had this problem?

Is it either a blocked sebatious duct or a bite possibly that got infected?

I've had both and that's what they look like. Nate was biting a little while back and one in particular was vicious. It got infected and got all swollen one weekend (when there are no docs open here). I was so worried I would get a cyst from it, but then one particularly painful feed (and I know this is gross - but he didn't seem to notice) it burst and all the pus got sucked out. After that it was much better and it healed straight away.

With DD I had a blocked right on my nipple and it looked the same. It was so painful that I pushed it and it burst. Lots of pus came out and again it healed straight away too.

its the same colour as my nipple its not big you can hardly notice it by looking at it but its so painful. dd hasn't got teeth yet and doesnt bite ( yet thank god lol).. maby its a blocked duct? hmm it annoying because i have been refusing feeds on that side because it hurts so much and so my milks all out of wack!

I had something similar a little while ago. If I squeezed the little lump some white stuff would come out (I didn't think it was puss, just didn't look that way, but figured it was dried milk). After a few days the pain went away, but I still have the lump there and if I squeeze it I can usually get some more white stuff out of it. I did a thread about it at the time (which I'll try and find for you), from memory MR suggested that it was something quite common called white spot.
