    Panadol and Breastfeeding

how does it work when I take panadol? Does it go into my breastmilk?

I gave DD a dose of panadol tonight as she has a cold and was a little miserable so we thought it might help. I also took some as my throat is sore..

What am I wondering is if she wakes and has another feed will she get an extra dose of panadol through my milk?

I know panadol is safe to use but never thought of it when we both took it.

Nic, I think very small quantities would go through your milk, but it is safe for you take the recommended dose of panadol even if you give baby panadol to your bub as well. I hope you feel better soon.

never thought of that either! but i don't think enough goes through that would cause baby to get a proper dose so i don't think it would be a problem. I hope someone else has more info though.
