I feel rather proud of myself and thought I'd give myself a bit of a pat on the back.
As of yesterday I have no been triandem feeding my three kids for a whole year. My youngest turned 1 yesterday, my middle just turned 2, and my eldest is turning 4 in just over a month.
I've been lucky that my breastfeeding journey has so far been relatively easy. It's something I give thanks for al the time because I know it's not the case for many others.
Recently my son told me (as he was feeding) that "when I turn 4 I'll have my last mummamilk. I'll be a big boy then and won't need it any more... I'll just need jelly". I think I'm going to get rather emotional about that part of our relationship ending, but at the same time I'm really proud of him ♥
Thank you everyone. Before I had my son I knew I wanted to breastfeed until he was 2 and then just see how we went. I'll admit that I didn't imagine that I would still be breastfeeding him at almost 4, and I certainly never imagined breastfeeding three kids at once. I'm really happy that he's the one that's making the choice when to wean. I feel that it's a really gentle and positive experience for him
