Will DD need a feed while I'm away?

So, tomorrow afternoon DH & I are going to the movies (YAY, first 'date' kidfree since forever!) and I am a bit unsure if DD will be ok for the four hours we are gone without a breastfeed?

MIL is going to watch DS & DD. I can feed DD when we get to MIL's house around 2pm. Usually DD has another breastfeed around 4:30ish give or take but we won't get back to MIL's until about 6:30ish. I'll leave some snacks and dinner for her as well, but will it be enough especially since she is used to milk at around 4:30. I am crappola at expressing and have only got about 30mls. She would probably take about 100-150mls EBM. Should I just leave her with the food and water instead or express like crazy tonight (or leave some formula which I'd rather avoid if I can help it)?

I reckon you will be able to 'wing' it. As you have said, leave the snacks and water. I found DD at the same age was fine until I walked in the door Lol!

Man, my DD is a boobie addict, but I left her with a friend for 8hrs and she didn't even miss me. Apparently she ate a heck of a lot of solid food though, but happily. No fussing. Unbelievable. Oh and I didn't even attempt to express to leave her some EBM.
Give it a go, she might surprise you!!

My son (also born Jan '10) is in daycare for 10 hours x 2 days a week. For the last month, he has barely touched EBM there. It seems like at this age snacks + water can go a long way for a half-day or even full-day separation.

DH took both kids out last weekend and I phoned at gone four, because DS normally has a feed around half 3, so I was worried he'd be cranky - he was fine! Wasn't bothered at all. And he just had a nice feed to make up for it when he got home, and still ate his dinner too, straight after!

Like Liminal says, snacks and water can go along way when's us mum's aren't around!

I am sure will be fine with solids and water. When i returned to work after DS1 I was worried as he would not drink water but was getting fluids from puree fruit, yougurt and cheese so was ok but I still stressed.

DS2 I have not left for more than 2 hrs but DH has just fed him fruit gel and some extra solids and he drinks water!!

I agree, she should be fine. At that age babies can easily go 4 hours without a breastfeed, and usually do so very happily when mum's not there. They know when the milk isn't on tap!!

Thanks so much for your reassuring replies everyone. I feel much less anxious about it now I will stock her up with some water and solids and see how she goes.
