My DD is 11 weeks and for the last week has been sleeping 10-12 hours straight overnight.
She has been a pretty good sleeper the whole time gradually increasing from 6 then 8 then 10 hours.
I am worried about what this long sleeping is doing to my supply.
I will usually express 2 hours after she goes to sleep to try and minimize the time between the demand.
Do you think my supply will adjust accordingly or will it suffer?
Absolutely it will adjust. It may take some time but it will adjust. Be careful not to get engorged while it is adjusting, especially in the morning with such a long break between feeds. Also keep an eye on DD's output and make sure she is getting enough during her awake time - 8-12 feeds in 24 hours, so that's a lot of feeding in daylight hours
Definitely don't wake her if she doesn't need to be woken - 6 is ok if nappies are ok, which it sounds like they are. Happy, content, most of the time? Weight and length and head all growing as they should?
She's pretty happy and content, she is fairly easy to settle most nights and usually does a 2 hour cluster feeding session before she goes to sleep, almost like she is fueling up for the night. I am getting her weighed again next week. I am definitely offering boob more now she is sleeping longer.
It's never ending worry isn't it lol
