Strangest place to breastfeed.

I'll feed DD anywhere, but I guess the most notable so far have been at the theatre and the other say at the RCH, DD was in the middle of a feed and we had to go a floor up, so I just got up, into the lift and into the next waiting room all while she was on the boob

Today my friend bf in the Royal Botanical Gardens. Nothing weird there, right?

Well, it was during the registration period for the annual Law Institute Fun Run, with hundreds and hundreds of lawyers all around!

Maybe it's a sign of how long I've been breastfeeding continuously, but none of these places seems 'weird', just part of diverse and active life Go forth and normalise!

I read this before but didn't post cos I didn't think i had anything to post. Then last night i remembered that i was bf in all of my sisters wedding group photos... Not weird i know but I guess that's the point? It was normal enough that i didn't even think about it iykwim?

May I ask if anyone has breastfed in court? I breastfed in family court recently and had no idea that it's uncommon to do to and seen as a bit disrespectful in the eyes of the court (a police officer said that I "probably shouldn't be doing that here" and that I "might need to leave", I wasn't aware at the time that it was a bit of a no no), just wondering if anyone else has?

My experience is that children, including newborns, are not permitted into Family Court rooms. I have seen women asked to remove their babies on two occasions.

I was asked to bring both DD1 and DD2 in I sent DD1 out with DH because she's a normal noisy 19 month old, but not the judge or any police officers said anything about taking them out...they told us to take them in

I used to feed both DS1 and DS2 whenever they wanted it. I have breastfed:

• on the loo - I just couldn't hold on any more!
• in the bath
• in the shower
• whilst out doing the grocery shop - this takes a bit of practice, manovouring the trolley, holding onto bubs and, putting things in the trolley
• various cafes and restaurants
• on a plane
• in church (at mass, at a wedding, at a funeral)
• water/theme park

Anywhere really. I don't consider these places odd or unusual. Breastfeeding is completely natural and as long as you don't leave your boobs hanging out on display I don't see what the issue is.

I have breastfed everywhere I go in normal life (shops, planes, boats, trams, trains, buses, church, cafes etc etc) but my most recent strange place was in an open air 1955 fire truck over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco! Ds was tired so he stayed on the boob the whole time...everyone got to enjoy the ride that way

Ds is seriously big for his age (the size of a three year old at 21 months) so I get plenty of looks while feeding him. Strangely here in the USA (we are on holidays) I haven't had any negative looks or comments.
