Supply drop while pregnant + ds doesn't like cows milk

So in the past week my supply has about halved. I still pump twice a day for ds which dh uses for nap time. I used to pump 200ml+ per day, in the past week I've been lucky if I get 100ml. So this post has two points:
    1. What's the best way to try and boost my supply a little while pg? Is there are herbal teas that are safe or any other suggestions?
    2. Ds will not drink cows milk, and he's not getting enough bm to fall asleep. Dh has tried separate bottles, mixing cows milk with bm, tried water once the bm runs out. Ds won't have a bar of any of it and he's not napping because of it. Is there another alternative (almond, goats etc) that other families have had success with of their toddler hated cows milk?

Lactation cookies? When I eat them within a day my boobs are bursting. There's a recipe in the BB fact sheets. You need brewers yeast, rolled oats and linseed meal. You can add the brewers yeast to anything. I was sprinkling it in my oats for breakfast with a bit of linseed meal. You can add it to cakes, cookies, whatever you like. I usually add 2-4tbsp to my cookies.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy.
To a certain extent, you're fighting biology to try and boost supply during pregnancy as many mothers experience this drop. The best thing - as usual - is to try and pump more often and get more out. I don't know whether this is feasible for you at the moment, though?
There's no reason your boy needs cow's milk, really, so any other would be fine if he'll take it. It's just a supplement to the rest of the diet if that makes sense, rather than a central source of nutrition.

I know I'm fighting biology, but I'm willing to fight hard lol. I'm going to try and fit in maybe one or two more pumps per day - will have to see how it fits with work unfortunately.

I know he doesn't need it but he won't sleep without milk, and at the moment I'm not pumping enough for dh to be able to get him to sleep at naptime

I will definitely try the lactation cookies and see if they help. This might be a dumb question but where can I get brewers yeast from?

There's no harm trying! I hope it works out for you
BTw, I just meant he didn't have to have *cow's* milk if he'd accept another kind. Good luck!

The same happened with me, and i was feeding DD at the breast, but i could no longer make enough to get her to sleep. DD would take small amounts of cow milk and so i experimented with order but found at night she would drink some cow milk (50ml - 100ml?) and then a breastfeed which was sometimes enough. We also had to learn other techniques for settling, cuddles with Dad, babywearing, driving etc. not as efficient as the boob but it got us there. Naps were always a struggle, and low milk just made them worse (sorry!).

Brewers yeast - some supermarkets sell it, but i think it was a natural food shop that i had most success.

I don't know how successful they will be, but they can't hurt.

If you're getting half the amount as usual is there any way your DS will cope with just one nap a day? He is around 18 months is that right? My DD was happy with one nap at that age. Also, is it worth experimenting with other ways of settling now just in case your supply drops further?

At one point, i think i made smoothies or flavoured milk as a way of encouraging dd to drink it. it's probably not the best thing to do, but i was dealing with breastfeeding aversion at the time and i needed a bit of a break but wanted dd to drink something.

DS is allergic to dairy and so we have tried other milks, but he doesn't really like any of them as a drink or even on cereal. So he sticks to breastmilk or water.

You can get brewers yeast from the health food shop. Don't get bakers yeast, it has to be brewers yeast.

My friend has a one year old who is allergic to cows milk and her doc suggested rice milk as its not as distinct in flavour as say soy milk which is quite nutty in taste and thick in consistency.
