Taking Homemade solids with you on nights away from home
We are going away tomorrow overnight to Canberra (Then in a fortnight off to Sydney for a couple of nights), and i'm wondering how i go about taking my homemade food..My DD doesn't really like the jars of food (Can you blame her?? some of it is Disgusting!!!) and i have some homemade meals in the freezer....should i just pop them in an esky with some ice-bricks and hope for the best, or should i just take some food thats easily mashed/pureed???? We are staying at my SIL's place, so i will have access to a kitchen & fridge.....(Should i take our stick blender???)
Have you tryed any of the raffertys garden baby food. DD also didnt like jarred food but would eat these if we were ever stuck somewhere with nothing else.
Thanks ladies, I will just pack the frozen ones at the last minute with some ice-bricks. Should be ok - its a three hr drive to SIL's so will pop them straight in the fridge when we get there....
I used to make some up and take it with me.. My kids didn't like it frozen and were sometimes fussy on food that wasn't prepared that afternoon so if that was the case I also took some veges and whatever else I needed and made it up as required
