I know it's not a big deal for those of you who feed into toddlerhood, but yesterday was Phoebe's birthday which means she has been breastfeeding for 12 months!
Natty and I only made it to 11 months and I was really cheesed off about that - my goal was 12 months and we missed out by a tiny bit.
Phoebe's and mine has been a bit of a rough road - I had to return to work much earlier than I would've liked so had to introduce a bottle. We had some overnight breast refusal.
My RHS is a complete dud. So we feed solely from the LHS. I never feel like I don't have enough for her even though at work I don't have a moment to stop and think about expressing let alone going to express. Just feeding either side of my work-day and a couple overnight has kept my supply up with her demand!
She still loves to breastfeed and the relaxed feeds we have in the middle of the night are still some of my most treasured moments with her.
Sorry for the completely self-absorbed post but I honestly didn't think we would make it... and we did! Whatever happens now I am happy.
Thanks for listening!
Wooo Hoooo!!! Congratulations 12 months is an awesome milestone and you should be so very proud, and be very proud that your fed DD1 until she was 11 months
You have set an awesome example that you can do it one sided, going back to work - you Rock!!!
WOOHOO Amy, that is fantastic!!!!!! I think it's an amazing deal, well done to both of you It can be so difficult when you have so many issues to overcome, but you have obviously been very dedicated, and it has paid off. Good for you for making it to your goal

Well done to you for reaching your goal of 12 mths. You should be rightly proud of yourself and I hope you enjoy your bfing relationship for as long as you would like.

Wow Congrats Hun. What an amazing feeling it is sharing that time with your bub.
I am hoping to do the same for my DS2 as I did it with DS1. Loved every minute of it!
