Congratulations on 6 months of EBM feeding - JCE0810

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate my sister JCE0810 on achieving 6 months of expressed breastmilk (EBM) feeding for her DS, Master B.

Wanne, I may not have told you but I am so proud of you for this achievement!

Yep even those "militant" types can recognise your huge achievement

    Well done you!!

Expressing is bloody hard work! Perhaps, even, the hardest type of feeding IMHO.

I admire anyone who persists (as well as those who try and, for whatever reason, are unable to continue!)

As someone who also expresses, a huge congratulations to you. You should be very proud as it's not easy going in the early months.

Congratulations hun. That is really awesome. I don't think many people would realise just how much time and effort you must have put in to achieve that. Well done.

umm wow thankyou to each and everyone of you, the support i have received amazes me. I'm not usually the type that willingly puts herself in the limelight (TK & retro can confirm this).

TK i didnt realise you had created a thread on here as well as commented on my FB status, so thankyou for your support i know sometimes with me you have to bite your tongue but you put aside what you would do and instead focused on what i want to do and i'm grateful for that. And just for the record i wouldn't consider you the "militant" type your just passionate

I only realised there was a thread on here because 1 of the lovely BB ladies i play "words with friends" with on my iphone sent me a message on our game and then i come and look and here it is.

I'll admit it wasn't easy in the beginning but with a bit of persistence, a double electric pump, lactation cookies, the support of my DF and the added support of friends & family (both my real family & my online family) i was able to express full time and feed my DS breast milk for the 1st 6months of his life.

For me 6months feels like the right time to make the switch to FF, not everyone will agree with my decision and there might even be some people that might not even agree with me about expressing full time, but at the end of the day it's my decision to make. I'm extremely proud of myself for reaching the goal i set myself 6months ago which started out as more of a motivation tool than setting myself a deadline.

    So again thankyou

6 months full-time expressing is an amazing achievement. I totally agree with the previous poster who said that it may be the most difficult way to feed a baby.
    Congratulations
