What position do you feed with?

I started with cradle but after a couple of days a mw suggested football and that worked well for us. Once we were home from hospital, I gave cradle a go again and had no problems. Stuck with that from then. We always used a boomerang pillow and it wasn't until she was a lot older that I stopped getting up to sit up to feed during the night and fed lying down.

DD's favourite position is me seated with her standing on the arm of my chair leaning over me and feeding upside down. When she was little, she fed cradle on the left side and football hold on the right. Now she mostly feeds straddling my leg. She has a funny thing she does too. Whilst on my left side, she likes to stick her finger in my mouth and play with my teeth. On my right side she rocks my arm. It's cute!

in the beginning it was football and cradle, but once she was a couple of months old it was all laying down, unless out somewhere where we couldnt lay down, we'd cradle in the car or when she was too big for that, id feed her in the carseat, me standing up and her just kicking back, but mostly i was known to borrow a bed or a floor whenever i could at friends and families houses.

jazzy is 16 months on wed and she still feeds the same as when she was born laying on a pillow or whatevers around and i hold the boob with same side hand i never got the cradle hold really but we do it when out when theres no pillow or whatever but i prefer bed coz then i can sleep too

Lying down!! My life saver! Got tons of sleep while everyone else was complaining about sleepless nights lol! Since DS is a toddler now he usually just sits on me somehow or even stands beside me while I sit down but occasionally when he is sleepy we go back to the cradle hold

Good old cradle hold with a Tri Pillow on my lap to prop her up.. We mostly fed laying down straight after birth but I couldn't get her attachment right do started sitting up and now it's stuck.. I'd like to lie on my side again as I found it super comfortable as did DD but it seems like such a juggle at the moment as I still need 2 hands to attach her and then she sometimes comes off as I'm moving my arm and laying back down if that makes sense? I suppose it will get easier once she gets better at attaching herself?

Football hold for the first few days of Moo's life...cradle hold ever since. Tried lying down but never got the hang of it!

Football hold for first 6 weeks and then lying in bed. I only cradle held from 4 months+ and only when I had to when we went out to shops. At friends places I steal a bed

At night/early morning, lying in bed is our default position. Other than that, the cradle hold is pretty much the way to go. We haven't done the football hold much, so it's really just those two positions. Unfortunately, dear baby gets heavy on her mummy's poor arm!

just remembered that I also used to feed him leaning over the carseat in the car!!!! Not the safest thing ever for me but only way I could stop the screaming in the car! Wouldn't take a dummy ever!

When DS was littler it was him laying down my body, tummy to tummy itms. I cant think of a simpler way to describe it lol. Its what came natural for us, my midwife actually asked who showed me it in hospital and was pleasantly surprised when I told her it came natural as apparently thats the hold they are teaching new mothers now? Idk lol. But now its a bit of a cradle hold as before his naps I feed him on the fitball. Feeds during the day at any other time are any position imaginable, he likes to try and do a handstand lol.
We have also always fed lying down a lot as we co-sleep.

Just wanted to add that I have now breastfed standing up and laying down yay!! I reckong Jett will feed upside down in a few months lol.. He loves it. Spent the best part of 3hrs feeding tonight. It is the best
