    I thought exclusive BF'ing meant no AF

    DS is only 11 weeks old and exclusively breastfed - including night feeds. Yesterday I had slight spotting and I woke up today with full on AF! I thought BF'ing keeps AF away. On the bright side, after panicking when I saw blood I realized 1 - we aren't TTC and 2 - I'm not pregnant - so, for the first time in 4+ years AF did not mean sadness or fear!...although I was hoping for a few more months of not having to deal with it.

    make sure you nurture yourself as you bleed.

    Everyone is different, but I think it does depend on the number of feeds and your own hormone levels etc.

    On the bright side, you wont have to wean to TTC again!

    I always got Af 4 weeks after my PP bleeding stopped.. for all 4 babies lol.. I felt ripped off to be honest. One of my friends BF for 2 years and never got her AF until she stopped..

    i exclusively BF & AF returned right on 3 months for me - DS was still having about 12 feeds in 24 hours then as well.

    Can happen. My mum got her AF back really quick after all three kids (between 8 and 12 weeks), so I was quite sure I would too, but so far so good.

    Your little dude being such an awesome sleeper might have something to do with it too.

    I got mine 4 weeks after having DD and she was breastfed, I felt totally ripped off!

    I ended up going on the mini pill and didn't have any trouble BF.

    DD was mostly BFbut had a few formula bottles here and there. Due to sleeping through from 9 weeks, she was only have 4-5 feeds a day from then on. AF returned around 10 months or so

    One of the girls in my MG exclusively BF and still is doing one BF a day (at almost 20 months). Her AF returned around 6 weeks

    Like PP have said, everyone definitely is different!

    How unlucky! Mine only came back at 16.5 mo, after I night weaned.
