So DD is just over 8 months, fully breastfed and solids were introduced at 6 months. Yesterday I noticed the lightest smear of blood on toilet paper and it has continued today- always very light but very dark and sometimes sinewy and dryish like it's very old blood. I assume it is my cycle returning? DD has been having only a couple of feeds a night for a long time but lately it's been nothing for 9 or so hours at night including early morning as often now she's not interested in milk until 8-8:30am even if she's not fed since 10pm. Time between day feeds have dropped too. Anyway is it normal for AF to return with old blood but very light? Is this actually AF or a sort or pre-AF... Or something else?
Bugger I was hoping she would stay away a bit longer. It makes me sad because it means baby is gradually weaning. Still a way to go I know but still, I'm a nostalgic lass.
